by John Doerr
OKRs – Objectives and Key Results – This is the framework the book sets out. I have the set up against personal Revelation. How can these things work together and are there things where they conflict.
I like that Doerr knows about Fredrick Taylor and Henry Ford. And gives a Nod to their Ideas. They both portray the ideals of productivity and continuous improvement. It is interesting that Doerr believes Peter Drucker uses a wrecking ball to their theories. However, I think Drucker just gives another perspective. And I do agree with Drucker and Doerr that Taylor gave too much credit to the expert for improving the process.
I have found throughout my career it is the people doing the work that have the best ideas and can experiment the most with a process and not the person/guru that is watching the process.
I will have more insights as I progress through this book.
