For some reason I only saved this and didn’t publish it last week.
As has been stated, this VP debate was watched by a bunch of people.
Here is my two cents
While I believe I am farily liberal in my beliefs. However, I was a bit taken back by the stance Joe biden and I am assuming Barak Obama have on same sex/gay marriage. It sounds like to me they believe “partners” should have all the rights of the traditional marriage.
The break up of the traditional family is the most damaging problem in America and the world.Traditional Family being defined as; a Man and Woman being married, staying true to marriage vows, bringing children into this family environment, the mother staying home to raise the children, the man leaving the home each day to provide for the family, they rearing the children to be productive citizens in society.

Man, I am with Obama and Biden all the way. Gay people have families too. I don’t think marriage should be re-defined. Marriage is between one man and one woman. However, we need to find a way to treat each other better and that includes letting gay couples have the rights and dignity that other people have. I kind of like the idea of protecting the rights without redefining marriage which is where I think Obama and Biden come down (and McCain for that matter).

Yea, This is one of the best SNL skits ever.
D. Gardner says
I am glad we live in America where minority views can be expressed and are most definately protected. But if we are going to let Gays be married why can’t the Muslims have their plural marriage, which many Muslim nations practice. Just another minority view that isn’t being projected.
Jim says
To clarify, I don’t think we should have same-sex marriage because it would involve re-defining marriage. But I do think they should have legally recognized rights and dignity. I also have absolutely no problem with polygamist having rights (short of re-defning marriage) PROVIDED the participants are consenting adults. The real problem with polygamy worldwide tends to be the marriage of adults to children. But if both parties have equal rights and choice and are adults and their religion teaches polygamy, it does not bother me. But if marriage means one man and one woman, the relationship would not be considered a marriage legally.
